HB 1481: Housing for Veterans

GENERAL BILL by Rosenwald ; Daley

Housing for Veterans; Establishes Homes for Veterans Property Management Incentive Pilot Program in certain counties; requires Florida Housing Finance Corporation, in conjunction with other entities & persons, to oversee pilot program; authorizes certain landlords to apply to corporation to receive funding from Vacancy Relief Trust Fund & Risk Mitigation Trust Fund; provides purpose of such trust funds; requires landlord to submit to corporation specified documentation within specified time period to apply for either trust fund; requires certain case managers assist corporation; authorizes landlord to apply for up to specified dollar amount from Risk Mitigation Trust Fund; provides requirement to apply for Risk Mitigation Trust Fund; provides that funding is awarded on first-come, first-served basis; provides appropriation.

Effective Date: July 1, 2026, if HB 1483 or similar legislation is adopted in the same legislative session
