State Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision.
—The Secretary of Corrections, or the secretary’s designee, shall serve as the compact administrator for the state and as the state’s commissioner to the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision.
The State Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision is established and shall consist of seven members. The Secretary of Corrections, or the secretary’s designee, shall serve as chairperson of the state council. The Governor shall appoint the remaining members of the state council, which must include a representative of a victims assistance organization.
Each member shall be appointed to a 4-year term of office. In order to achieve staggered terms, of those members first appointed, three members shall be appointed for terms of 2 years each, and three members shall be appointed for terms of 4 years each.
The state council shall meet at least twice a year.
The members of the state council shall serve without compensation, but are entitled to reimbursement for travel and per diem expenses in accordance with s. 112.061.
