GENERAL BILL by Crime & Punishment ; Tamargo ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Byrd ; Culp ; Crist ; Lynn ; Harrington ; Murman

Pretrial Detention; revises criteria for pretrial detention; permits said detention for any violation of conditions of pretrial release or bond which, in discretion of court, supports finding that no condition of release can reasonably protect community from physical harm, assure presence of accused at trial, or assure integrity of judicial process; deletes limitation upon detention period when detention is based on threat of harm to community, etc. Amends Chs. 907, 903

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
