CS/SB 1556: Health Insurance

GENERAL BILL by Banking and Insurance ; Scott ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Forman ; Campbell ; Myers ; Hargrett ; Latvala ; Saunders ; Geller ; Grant ; Casas ; King

Health Insurance; provides legislative intent for organization of nonprofit corporation for providing affordable group health insurance; creates Health Alliance for Small Business; deletes authorization for community health purchasing alliances; prohibits state agencies from providing certain funds to alliance without specific legislative approval; revises restrictions re premium rates for small employer health benefit plans, etc. Amends Ch. 408, 627.6699.
