CS/CS/HB 107: Unclaimed Property

GENERAL BILL by Council for Competitive Commerce ; Banking ; Prieguez ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Cantens ; Gottlieb ; Siplin

Unclaimed Property; revises provisions re disposition of unclaimed property to refer to property considered abandoned as unclaimed property; provides additional criterion for certain property in financial organizations being presumed unclaimed; provides presumption that certain intangible property is unclaimed under certain circumstances; provides valuation & remission of contents of safe-deposit boxes, etc. Amends Ch. 717, 732.107, 493.6101,.6102, 215.965.
