GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Banking and Insurance ; Geller ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dawson

Financial Settlements; revises definitions; provides for approval of forms; provides for applicability; requires certain purchases to be handled by independent third-party trustee; provides requirements for direct or indirect transfer of structured-settlement-payment rights; requires that obligor make certain disclosures to claimant in negotiating settlement of claims, etc. Amends Ch. 626.
