GENERAL BILL by Wilson ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Lee ; Siplin ; Jennings ; Holloway ; Slosberg ; Weissman ; Byrd ; Wiles ; Sobel ; Rich ; Heyman ; Bean ; Bullard ; Wishner

Testing of Inmates for HIV; requires DOC to perform HIV test before inmate is released if inmate's HIV status is unknown; requires that DOC notify county health dept. where inmate plans to reside following release if inmate is HIV positive; requires dept. to provide special transitional assistance to inmate who is HIV positive; provides that informed consent is not required for HIV test of inmate prior to inmate's release, etc. Amends Ch. 945, 381.004, 944.704; creates 945.355.
