GENERAL BILL by Meadows ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Smith ; Weissman ; Seiler

Discretionary Sales Surtaxes; authorizes levy of such surtax by largest municipality in any county with population greater than 1 million; provides rate thereof; requires referendum approval; provides requirements for such levy; provides for use of proceeds; includes levy of discretionary sales surtax tax by municipality in provisions which provide for administration, collection, enforcement, & distribution of such surtaxes, etc. Amends 212.054,.055,.0596, 202.19,.20.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
