GENERAL BILL by Council for Smarter Government ; State Administration ; Brummer ; Cantens
Public Buildings/Security; creates Capitol Police within FDLE; provides transfer of funds; provides for powers & duties of DMS re firesafety & security responsibilities; provides for investigations by Capitol Police; provides that persons arrested or detained by Capitol Police shall be delivered to sheriff; provides for procurement of equipment by FDLE, etc. Amends Chs. 281, 943, 20.201, 287.17, 288.816.
Effective Date: 04/11/2002 except as otherwise provided
