CS/HB 535: Attorney's Fees

GENERAL BILL by State Administration ; Kallinger

Attorney's Fees; provides specific limitations on payment, negotiation, or collection of attorney's fees by private counsel for work performed on behalf of state or any agency thereof; provides that no contract or settlement agreement shall authorize or permit payment, negotiation, or collection by private counsel firm in excess of certain amount; requires specific approval by Governor for higher maximum fee, etc. Amends 287.059.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law
