CS/SB 1204: Homestead/Assessed Value/Elderly

JOINT RESOLUTION by Comprehensive Planning ; Diaz de la Portilla ; Haridopolos

Homestead/Assessed Value/Elderly; (THIS BILL COMBINES S1204,1168) constitutional amendment to allow any county to enact ordinance that will prohibit increase in assessed value of homestead property owned by person 65 years of age or older & whose household income does not exceed $20,000 per year, subject to enactment of general law by Legislature which permits such action by county & provides for adjustment in income amount. Amends s. 4, Art. VII.
