GENERAL BILL by Finance and Taxation ; Banking and Insurance ; Margolis ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Diaz de la Portilla

Life Insurance & Annuity Contracts; provides that certificate of authority is not required for certain life insurance policies or annuity contracts issued by insurer domiciled outside U.S. & covering only persons who are not residents of U.S.; specifies duties of insurers & insurance agents re making annuity investment recommendations to senior consumers; limits responsibility of insurers or insurance agents under certain circumstances, etc. Amends 624.402, 627.404; creates 627.4554.
