CS/SB 48: Automated External Defibrillators

GENERAL BILL by Health Care ; Geller ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Lynn ; Wilson ; Posey

Automated External Defibrillators; revises legislative intent re use of such defibrillator; defines automated external defibrillator as lifesaving defibrillation device; defines related term; provides that it is first-degree misdemeanor for person to commit certain acts involving misuse of automated external defibrillator; authorizes local government to adopt ordinance to license, permit, or inspect such defibrillators, etc. Amends 401.2915.
