SB 500: Assault Weapons/Detachable Magazine
GENERAL BILL by Margolis
Assault Weapons/Detachable Magazine; prohibits manufacture, importation, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of assault weapon or large-capacity detachable magazine; provides certain specified exceptions; provides that knowing violation of act is felony of second degree; requires seizure & forfeiture of said weapons & magazines held in violation of act or used in committing crime; requires that seized weapons or magazines be destroyed within certain period, etc. Creates 790.222.
