GENERAL BILL by Education Committee ; Justice Appropriations Subcommittee ; Civil Justice Subcommittee ; Brandes ; Grant ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Ahern ; Corcoran ; Costello ; Perry

Teachers; Requires that certain professional teacher associations be given equal access to initial orientations; provides that certain not-for-profit, professional teacher associations are not employee organizations for purposes of specified provisions until applying for registration as certified bargaining agents; requires DOE to provide information regarding limitations of liability, suggestions for pertinent criteria for determining appropriate level of additional liability insurance, & options for procuring such insurance; prohibits postsecondary educational institution or district school board from requiring student enrolled in teacher preparation program to purchase liability insurance.
