GENERAL BILL by Governmental Oversight and Accountability ; Judiciary ; Wise

Clerks of Court; Providing requirements for storage of electronic filings; requiring papers and electronic filings to be electronically time stamped; authorizing the clerk to remove sealed or expunged court records from the Official Records; revising provisions concerning an exemption from charges for services provided to specified officials and their staffs; increasing the threshold amount for automatic repayment of overpayments; providing for access to clerks’ files by state agencies and an exemption from copying fees and charges; providing an exception for certain specified penalties or fines that would otherwise be deposited into the clerk’s Public Records Modernization Trust Fund; authorizing the clerk to issue a refund to the depositor for redeemed property subject to a tax sale, etc.
