SB 162: Establishing the Congressional Districts of the State

GENERAL BILL by Bradley ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Negron ; Stargel ; Brandes ; Detert ; Hutson ; Bean ; Benacquisto ; Altman ; Flores

Establishing the Congressional Districts of the State; Redistricting the state’s congressional districts in accordance with the United States Decennial Census of 2010 (plan S007C9064); deleting provisions providing for apportionment of districts for the United States House of Representatives which are superseded by the act; providing for the future repeal of provisions relating to the applicability of districts for the United States House of Representatives which are superseded by the act, etc.

Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act and this section, which shall take effect upon this act becoming a law, this act shall take effect upon the expiration of the terms of the representatives to the United States House of Representatives serving on the date that this act becomes a law
