SB 2502: Implementing the 2024-2025 General Appropriations Act

GENERAL BILL by Appropriations

Implementing the 2024-2025 General Appropriations Act; Incorporating by reference certain calculations of the Florida Education Finance Program; requiring the Board of Governors and the State Board of Education, in consultation with the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities, to establish a specified code by a specified date; exempting certain rules pertaining to medical marijuana adopted to replace emergency rules from specified rulemaking requirements; authorizing the Agency for Health Care Administration to submit a budget amendment seeking additional spending authority to implement the Low-Income Pool component of the Florida Managed Medical Assistance Demonstration, etc.

Effective Date: Except as otherwise expressly provided in this act and except for this section, which shall take effect upon this act becoming a law, this act shall take effect July 1, 2024, or, if this act fails to become a law until after that date, it shall take effect upon becoming a law and shall operate retroactively to July 1, 2024
