| League Against Cancer will provide medical services to eligible victims who do not have the financial resources or insurance coverage to obtain neccesary treatment.

| Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
| For the last 10 years our organization has been blessed with the general annual donation from the Florida Department of Health. This donation began with an annual grant in the amount of $1 million which was increased one year to $2 million. However, in the year 2001 the original amount of $1 million was reduced to an annual donation of nine hundred thousand. With this grant, the generous donations of the community, and the In-kind donations from our physicians, our local hospitals and laboratories, La Liga Contra el Cancer is able to provide treatment for cancer striken indigent who do not have health insurance and are legal residents of the State of Florida. Since 1993, the cost of services we provide have increased dramatically, as has our indigent population. With this in mind, we respectfully ask you to take these facts into consideration and increase the funds you are granting us to $2 million, in order to continue providing the same amounts and quality of services. |
