Project Description:
It is extremely important to the community to establish and maintain those programs and facilities designed to maintain linkage with the natural surroundings of the State of Florida. This project will be a superior mentoring program combining the City's Equestrian Police detail with the treatment of those abused children benefiting from the Children's Harbor program located adjacent to the park. Through the use of living animals, those valued human characteristics such as kindness, dependability, and teamwork will be promoted. There can be no doubt as to the value of such an interaction between humans and animals.

Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
It is anticipated that the interaction between police officers, those children requiring rehabilitative support, and horses will generate a mutually beneficial and productive relationship accelerating the positive benefits of the Children's Harbor program.
