The Florida Senate

 Thursday, September 15th, 2022, New World School of the Arts (NWSA) celebrated an additional $500,000 of legislative funding toward the acclaimed educational arts institution due to the persistent congressional pursuits from State Senator Ileana Garcia.

The notable establishment has proven itself as an irreplaceable facet to the South Florida creative scene purely by thriving as an intensive conservatory that not only prioritizes academics, but the visual and performing arts for gifted pupils. Faculty is comprised of highly trained, experienced, and specialized professors in high school and baccalaureate curriculums that uphold an extremely high standard concerning its students. This very code of excellence has set NWSA apart, appealing to youth all across the state in the journey of cultivating their own individualized strengths within a supportive yet challenging environment.

Financing a creative academy such as this is vital for students to thrive. Investing in all the necessary equipment required for maintaining NWSA: like production expenses (i.e. costumes, sets, props, licenses, etc.), materials (such as studio or venue rentals, lighting, music, visual art supplies), and any other required salaries (i.e. art consultants/ guest speakers) will be covered. Each division within the school is also expected to produce a minimum of three performances or exhibits within Musical Theater, Dance, and Visual Arts all originating from a variety of counties like Broward, Dade, and Orange (to name a few). As a result, actively engaging the public through little or no cost ensuing in higher quantities of participation and employment opportunities.
