In the first line of the second paragraph of proviso
following Specific Appropriation 78 on page 20,
strike
$30,000,000
and insert
$60,000,000
At the end of the third line of the second paragraph
of proviso following Specific Appropriation 78 on
page 20, add the following new proviso:
School districts shall use the amount of sparsity funds allocated in
excess of the sparsity funding appropriated in 1999-2000 to provide

local programming and services designed to address the goals of the A+
Program and/or the One Florida Initiative. Prior to releasing an
increase in sparsity funds to a school district over the amount received
in 1999-2000, the school district shall submit a plan to utilize the
increased sparsity funding to further the goals of the A+ Program and/or
the One Florida Initiative.
In the second line of the second paragraph of proviso
following Specific Appropriation 78 on page 19,
adjust the base student allocation as appropriate for
the change in sparsity funding.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement
within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items. |
