CS/HB 3033: Execution/Lethal Injection

GENERAL BILL by Crime & Punishment ; Stafford ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Heyman ; Lacasa ; Sanderson ; Lynn ; Alexander ; Crist

Execution/Lethal Injection; provides for execution of death sentence by means of lethal injection if electrocution is held to be unconstitutional; provides that person authorized by state law to prescribe medication, when designated by DOC, may prescribe drugs necessary to compound lethal injection; prohibits reduction of sentence of death as result of method of execution being held to be unconstitutional, etc. Creates 922.105; amends 775.082, 790.161.
