HB 649: Law Enforcement Officers' Disability

GENERAL BILL by Bilirakis ; Kilmer ; Needelman ; Cantens ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Barreiro ; Diaz de la Portilla ; Bowen ; Carassas ; Bennett ; Argenziano ; Stansel ; Brummer ; Crow ; Green ; Littlefield ; Farkas ; Bense ; Miller ; Hart ; Kyle ; Rich ; Detert ; Bucher

Law Enforcement Officers' Disability; authorizes elected officers participating in DROP to terminate participation in DROP & enroll in subclass of Elected Officers' Class; increases time for participation in Deferred Retirement Option Program for members of elected officers class of Florida Retirement System; provides that elected officers are not subject to termination limitations; provides declaration of important state interest, etc. Amends 112.18, 121.053,.091.
