GENERAL BILL by Harrell ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Cantens ; Negron

Surgical First Assistants; revises required component of internal risk management programs to include requirements for use of physician surgical first assistants; requires health insurance policies to provide coverage for medically necessary services of said assistant selected by primary surgeon to assist in covered surgical procedure, provides applicability to new or renewed policies & contracts, etc. Amends 395.0197, 627.64165,.6572, 641.31.
