GENERAL BILL by Wilson

School Progression/Retention/Reading Proficiency [SPCC]; Removes the requirement for alternative placement of a student who has been retained two or more years from the comprehensive program for student progression. Eliminates the guidelines for allocating school district remedial and supplemental instruction resources. Eliminates mandatory retention of a student who is not reading at grade level by grade three, etc.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law
