CS/SB 1226: Health Care Fraud

GENERAL BILL by Criminal Justice ; Joyner ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Gaetz

Health Care Fraud; Revises the grounds under which the Department of Health or corresponding board is required to refuse to admit a candidate to an examination and refuse to issue or renew a license, certificate, or registration of a health care practitioner. Provides an exception. Requires a delinquent licensee whose license becomes delinquent before the final resolution of a case regarding Medicaid fraud to affirmatively apply by submitting a complete application for active or inactive status during the licensure cycle in which the case achieves final resolution, etc.
