Search of Portable Electronic Device; Provides legislative findings & intent; provides definitions; provides that information contained in portable electronic device is not subject to search by law enforcement officer incident to arrest except pursuant to warrant; provides exceptions; prohibits location informational tracking; prohibits governmental entity from obtaining location information of electronic device without valid search warrant; provides that search warrant may not be issued for location of electronic device for period longer than is necessary to achieve objective of warrant authorization; provides periods for validity of warrant; provides criteria to extend warrant for location information; provides exceptions.
