GENERAL BILL by Appropriations Committee ; Healthy Families Subcommittee ; Harrell ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Campbell ; Combee ; Danish ; Edwards ; Pilon

Child Protection and Child Welfare Services; Requires Secretary of DCF to appoint Assistant Secretary for Child Welfare; provides services for medically complex children; provides conditions for use of critical incident rapid response teams; requires DCF to publish information on its website regarding child deaths reported to central abuse hotline; authorizes use of safety plans in cases of present or impending danger; requires DCF to attempt to keep siblings together & provide for sibling visitation; requires review of child deaths reported to central abuse hotline; provides education requirements for child protection & child welfare personnel & training requirements for department attorneys; establishes tuition exemption & student loan forgiveness programs for child protective & child welfare personnel; establishes Florida Institute for Child Welfare. APPROPRIATION: $4,060,000
