Appointment of an Ad Litem; Defines "ad litem"; authorizes court to appoint ad litem for party upon whom service of process by publication is made; prohibits court from appointing ad litem to represent interest for which personal representative, guardian of property, or trustee is serving; requires ad litem, upon discovery that party it represents is already represented, to take certain actions; prohibits court from requiring ad litem to post bond or designate resident agent; requires court to discharge ad litem when final judgment is entered or as otherwise ordered by court; provides that ad litem is entitled to award of reasonable fee for services & costs & provides for assessment; prohibits declaring court-appointed ad litem ineffective solely due to lack of statutory authority for appointment; provides that section does not abrogate court's common law authority to appoint ad litem.
