154.067  Child abuse and neglect cases; duties.--The Department of Health shall adopt a rule requiring every county health department, as described in s. 154.01, to adopt a protocol that, at a minimum, requires the county health department to:

(1)  Incorporate in its health department policy a policy that every staff member has an affirmative duty to report, pursuant to chapter 415, any actual or suspected case of child abuse or neglect; and

(2)  In any case involving suspected child abuse or neglect, designate, at the request of the department, a staff physician to act as a liaison between the county health department and the Department of Children and Family Services office that is investigating the suspected abuse or neglect, and the child protection team, as defined in s. 415.503, when the case is referred to such a team.
