506.31  Registration of names, marks, and devices.--Any such names, marks or devices may be registered by filing in the office of the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the principal office of the person or corporation seeking registration is situate and with the Department of State a description of such names, marks or devices; provided, that if any such person or corporation has no principal office in this state, then such person or corporation may register such name, mark or device by filing descriptions thereof in the office of the clerk of the circuit court of any county in which such person or corporation does business and with the Department of State.
