154.013  County primary care service panels.--

(1)  Each county may establish a primary health care panel consisting of two members of the county governing body appointed by the chair of the county governing body, the county health department director, the district administrator of the district of the Department of Health in which the county is located, at least one but not more than three health care providers appointed by the chair of the county governing body, and two laypersons appointed by the chair of the county governing body.

(2)  The panel shall develop a plan for the delivery of primary care services in the county subject to review and approval by the county governing body. Such plan shall include recommended primary care services to be offered within the county and criteria and standards to be included in any request-for-proposal or bid specifications. In addition, the panel shall review any contract proposals that may be submitted to the county in order to make recommendations as to which providers should be awarded contracts.
