Severability.
18.0611 Severability.--If any provision of this chapter is held invalid with respect to any person or circumstance, or if any congressional district established in this chapter is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the chapter or any other districts established in this chapter which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this chapter are declared severable.

1Note.--Section 8, ch. 2002-12, provides that "[e]xcept for this section and section 7, which shall take effect upon this act becoming a law, this act shall take effect upon the expiration of the terms of the representatives to the United States House of Representatives serving on the date that this act becomes a law." Chapter 2002-12 became law on March 27, 2002. Section 1, Art. XX of the United States Constitution provides that the terms of representatives shall end at noon on the 3rd day of January of every second year.
