Annual legislative appropriation to contingency fund for use of Senate President and House Speaker.
Section 11.151, Florida Statutes 2006

111.151  Annual legislative appropriation to contingency fund for use of Senate President and House Speaker.--There is established a legislative contingency fund consisting of $20,000 for the President of the Senate and $20,000 for the Speaker of the House of Representatives, which amounts shall be set aside annually from moneys appropriated for legislative expense. These funds shall be disbursed by the Chief Financial Officer upon receipt of vouchers authorized by the President of the Senate or the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Such funds may be expended at the unrestricted discretion of the President of the Senate or the Speaker of the House of Representatives in carrying out their official duties during the entire period between the date of their election as such officers at the organizational meeting held pursuant to s. 3(a), Art. III of the State Constitution and the next general election.

A.  Section 29, ch. 2006-26, amended s. 11.151 "[i]n order to implement Specific Appropriations 2788 and 2789 of the 2006-2007 General Appropriations Act."

B.  Section 53, ch. 2006-26, provides that "[i]f any other act passed in 2006 contains a provision that is substantively the same as a provision in this act, but that removes or is otherwise not subject to the future repeal applied to such provision by this act, the Legislature intends that the provision in the other act shall take precedence and shall continue to operate, notwithstanding the future repeal provided by this act." Section 4, ch. 2006-122, amended s. 11.151 and did not include a repeal provision.
