HB 159: Health Maintenance Organizations

GENERAL BILL by Rubio ; Benson ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Negron ; Harrell ; Barreiro ; Prieguez ; Waters ; Diaz-Balart ; Cusack ; Lerner ; Diaz de la Portilla ; Slosberg ; Sobel ; Murman

Health Maintenance Organizations; provides licensure requirement for physician who renders adverse determination re services provided by another state-licensed physician; eliminates authority of certain out-of-state physicians to render such determinations; provides additional experience requirements & limitation for out-of-state groups; provides for pilot program for health flex plans for certain uninsured persons, etc. Amends Chs. 627, 641.
