CS/SB 2620: Estate Tax [WPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Commerce ; Altman

Estate Tax [WPSC]; Cites act as the "Florida Taxpayers Protection Act." Imposes a retaliatory tax on property of a nonresident decedent when the nonresident's state of domicile imposes inheritance, estate, or other death taxes on Florida residents. Authorizes a court to construe the terms of certain wills to define the respective shares or determine beneficiaries under certain circumstances. Provides for nonapplication to certain dispositions, etc.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
