CS/HB 991: Petroleum Fuel Measuring Devices

GENERAL BILL by Commerce Committee ; Busatta Cabrera ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Fischer ; Leek ; Morales

Petroleum Fuel Measuring Devices; Revises types of certain security measures required to be affixed to or installed onto retail petroleum fuel measuring devices; requires owners or operators of retail petroleum fuel measuring devices to affix to or install onto measuring devices certain security measures by specified date; provides that use of certain measures complies with such requirement; authorizes DACS to take certain retail petroleum fuel measuring devices out of service until compliance is restored; preempts regulation of petroleum fuel measuring devices to state & DACS; prohibits DACS from enforcing certain provisions for violations of certain rules; exempts DACS petroleum fuel measuring device rules from enforcement under specified provisions.
