585.84  Suspension of inspection.--

(1)  Every establishment in the state where animals are slaughtered or where animal products are prepared for intrastate commerce for human consumption shall be maintained and operated in a clean and sanitary manner, and inspection shall be conducted in accordance with this part and the rules of the department. If an establishment is not so maintained and operated, wherein animal products may become adulterated, the department may suspend inspection in any establishment operating under this part.

(2)  The department may temporarily suspend inspection in any establishment operating under this part for such period as is necessary to ensure the safety and effective performance of department employees in the execution of their duties under this part.

(3)  Failure of an establishment to reimburse the department for overtime or holiday inspection service shall result in immediate suspension of inspection service to that establishment.
