Section 61.182, Florida Statutes 2000

161.182  Child Support Depository Trust Fund.--Child support depository administrators may apply for reimbursement from the Child Support Depository Trust Fund for uncollectible personal checks attributable to support payments which were paid to the support obligee, and for costs of collection of checks which were returned unpaid. The Department of Revenue shall administer the Child Support Depository Trust Fund and shall make such reimbursements upon a satisfactory showing that the depository has made diligent efforts to collect the funds and that the depository is not continuing to accept payments by personal check without a deposit from the support obligor for whom the depository is seeking reimbursement. All amounts subsequently collected by child support depository administrators for uncollectible personal checks that were reimbursed to the administrators from the Child Support Depository Trust Fund shall be remitted to the Department of Revenue and deposited into the Child Support Depository Trust Fund.
